Hello Fellow Foodies: Our next gathering is going to be located at one of my new favorite lunch restaurants in midtown. Southern Belle is serving up some amazing southern food, with a cajun flair. They are strictly a lunch place, but they are opening up at night just for us. For those of you downtowners not wanting to drive, they are located on the Madison trolley line at Cleaveland and Madison. For those of you who are tied to their cars, there is ample parking in the lot next to the restaurant. I have been talking with the owner/chef David Johnson about setting up a great menu for us...I think he came through with flying colors. I can't wait for this gathering. Remember, to join in the fun you have to buy a ticket here. ($25 tax + tip included) The Menu: Bourbon Brown Sugar Glazed Beef Brisket with Roasted Garlic Mashed Potatoes Crawfish Etouffee over Basmati Pilaf Bourbon Peach Glazed Pork Loin with Mississippi Grits Blackened Chicken Pasta tossed in a Creole Tomato Sauce Chopped Iceberg Salad with Roasted Tomatoes, Toasted Pecan Ranch, & Garlic Croutons Collard Greens Squash Casserole Fried Apple and Peach Pies Space is limited for this gathering, so get your tickets early, it might sell out. Once again, please bring canned food items for donation to the Midsouth Food Bank. They are hurting along with the rest of the non-profits out there. We don't want people to go hungry do we?
